Marketing & Events Coordinator

Position Overview

As the Marketing and Events Coordinator for Microserve, you will provide support for all internal and external marketing and communications activities and work in collaboration with the Marketing team.  

You are extremely organized with an excellent attention to detail, tech savvy, and can pick up new things quickly. You are not afraid to ask questions and bring new ideas to the table. 



  • Support Marketing team with all marketing & events related activities 

  • Coordinate all Client Holiday and Client Appreciation Parties & Hospitality events (and other ad hoc events as they come up) 

  • Work with People & Culture team on all staff parties as required  

  • Social media scheduling and content posting (client facing) 

  • Coordinate the creation of monthly internal newsletter (collect and write content, proofread and design layout, provide editorial input, ensure publication deadline is met) 

  • Create and maintain prospecting list for marketing campaigns and events 

  • Maintain accurate records for all marketing activities, including schedules, to-do lists, calendar of events, budgeting spreadsheets, etc. 

  • Participate in updating social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok) and company website 

  • Copy writing responsibilities for social posts, captions, client emails and news article writing  

  • Complete intermediate graphic design work such as creating email invitations, event signage, social media posts (banners)  

  • Organize and maintain accurate inventory of marketing promotional materials 

  • Work with Web developer on website new content and graphic updates 

  • Help with planning and development of digital marketing campaigns 

  • Assist with administrative duties  



  • Marketing or Business Diploma/Degree  

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role  

  • Strong Project Management skills 

  • Excellent attention to detail 

  • Proficient in keeping organized records 

  • Ability to create a variety of marketing materials with specific direction 

  • Social media understanding and experience 

  • Knowledge of basic design concepts and best practices  

  • Strong communication and writing skills 

  • Strong Microsoft office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 

  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Suite (InDesign, Publisher, Photoshop)  

  • Knowledge/experience in the technology industry would be considered an asset
