Position Overview: The Master Scheduler is responsible for strategic and macro level production planning for OEM Remanufacturing. This includes capacity planning, production forecasting, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, and continuous improvement projects related to production planning.

Job Description:
Major Job Functions
  • Analyze capacity constraints and make recommendations for improvements to maximize production output and meet delivery timeframes
  • Develop and update manpower and equipment models to identify resources required based on component and salvage sales forecasts from Customer Service
  • Develop and enhance the Operations Playbook to ensure guidelines, roles and expectations are clear to all Production and Support Departments related to Operations
  • Develop effective planning tools and models that are linked to WOT and can be used by Area Managers and Production Planners
  • Support Area Managers with Operations Planning and Analytics
  • Liaison with Materials and Customer Service to provide oversight on availability and schedule attainment
  • Develop production reports that accurately measure overall performance and trends (i.e. Labour Utilization, Executive Summaries, Production attainment, etc.)
  • Identify production bottlenecks and support/ lead in solution development and implementation
  • Develop the monthly revenue plan for production in association with the Production Planners
  • Plan vacation relief and cross training in all production planning areas
  • Effectively communicate schedules to areas outside of production (Customer Service, Materials & Billing) to improve awareness, lead times, and to execute on production attainment
  • Ensure production plans and resources are effectively communicated among product lines, resulting in efficient utilization of equipment and labour
  • Labour Utilization, Executive Summaries, Production attainment, etc.)
  • Represent Production as part of the company's Business Intelligence Group to ensure the data integrity, velocity and timeliness of business reporting is acceptable
  • Implement and document effective, standardized, production planning processes to assist with training and conformance


Specific Skills & Knowledge:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to utilize a variety of software tools (databases, spreadsheets, flowcharts etc) to perform complex forecasting, modeling, analysis, simulations & flow chart functions
  • Demonstrated analytical, written, and oral communications skills
  • Strong analytical background and organization skills


Education:
  • Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, or engineering would be considered an asset
