About the Opportunity
Red Chris, an Imperial Metals company, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Senior Mine Engineer to join the Mine Operations Department at the remote Red Chris mine in Northern British Columbia.
Located 80 kilometers south of Dease Lake in Tahltan traditional territory, the successful candidate will be required to work and stay in camp on a rotational basis.
Reporting to the Chief Mine Engineer, you will be responsible for aiding in the development of mine plans based on all geological information that sustains safety, production and cost goals.
The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of, and experience in, open pit mining operations coupled with at least five (5) years of relevant working experience. You MUST also have:
In addition, our ideal candidate will have three (3) or more years of progressive experience in a direct operations environment, the ability to work independently, adjust to changing priorities, the ability to multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines.
