What You'll Be Doing

You'll partners with CIBC Banking Centres, Mortgage Contact Centers and the CIBC Mobile Mortgage Advisor network, to assist customers in providing alternate mortgage options (Alternate Lender Mortgages) when customers do not meet CIBC's lending criteria or underwriting guidelines. The role involves being a key resource and subject matter expert on all types of mortgages to all business partners in order to facilitate the highest possible customer experience. Industry applied knowledge and experience of the real estate secured lending business from both a customer and lender perspective is required

How You'll Succeed
    Client Engagement - Establish and build relationships with CIBC internal business partners including retail Banking Centres, Mortgage Contact Centers and CIBC Mobile Mortgage Advisors in order to educate them about the role of the CIBC Mortgage Options Specialist function and alternate products offered. • Business Development - Identify suitable customer prospects for alternate lenders who do not meet prime mortgage financing criteria and encourage internal business partners to make referrals. Communicate with branch, Mortgage Contact Centers (MCC) and Mobile Sales Force customers that are in need of alternate lending in order to aid them in their understanding of the mortgage decline, advise them as to their options in the alternate lender mortgage market and explain the pricing. • Relationship Management - Meet with banking centre personnel for orientation sessions on alternate mortgage products. Communicate with branch, Mortgage Contact Centers (MCC) and Mobile Sales Force customers that are in need of alternate lending in order to aid them in their understanding of the mortgage decline, advise them as to their options in the alternate lender mortgage market and explain the pricing.
