About the Opportunity

LEMO currently has an exciting opportunity for an Outside Technical Sales Representative to join our team in either Vancouver or Calgary on a full-time basis. This role will require travel between both locations on an as-needed basis.

As our Outside Technical Sales Representative, your primary responsibility will be to manage and maintain the BC and AB territories while also establishing and building relationships with new customers.

In order to qualify for this role, you will need sales experience with high technology, engineering, or mechanical products. You'll also have previous experience working with customers to establish their needs and find a suitable solution for them that is mutually beneficial. 


  • Manage and develop the assigned existing customer portfolio and territory in order to achieve sales objectives.
  • Acquire new business by identifying and qualifying new opportunities/accounts as well as new market applications, in line with the company strategy. Negotiate and close the deals. Develop and execute account development plans for targeted key customers.
  • Manage and develop customer relationships and act as the central point of contact between customers, and both the regional and LEMO headquarters teams.
  • Leverage consultative sales and technical skills to understand customer needs and deliver value at the system level. Promote LEMO products and services highlighting benefits and features in order to meet customer's needs. 
  • Ensure regular customer visits to provide technical support and promote LEMO interconnection solutions (connectors, cables, cable, assemblies).
  • Manage the pipeline of new sales opportunities to effectively drive business development. Use the CRM to share and maintain accounts knowledge. 
  • Gather market and competitive information, customer's needs, and translate them into recommendations for Marketing. 
  • Participate in tradeshows and other commercial events. 

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of B2B Sales experience in a high-tech product industry preferably in the field of Electronic Connectors or Cable Assemblies.
  • Experience in relevant industry markets such as industrial, defence, and medical.
  • Knowledge of electrical interconnection in order to discuss at application level with customers. Ability to interact internally and externally on topics related to micromechanics and electronics. 
  • Fluent in English. 
  • Working knowledge of business productivity software including MS Office suite. 
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude. Strong organizational skills. Commitment to excellence and high standards. 
  • Ability to work independently and to coordinate activities with co-workers across departments.
