Position Overview:Reporting to the Material Manager of Material Receiving, the Team Leader will be responsible for the daily department performance, technical coaching and area expertise. Tactically focused on shift production requirements, problem solving, and process improvements, the team lead will lead by example to their fellow co-workers.

Job Description:
Various duties include physical and electronic elements in the following tasks:
  • Ensure safety policies and operating practices are followed by all team members
  • Ensure quality and productive workmanship within the area
  • Knowledge and tactical management of priority receiving requests of work through area is met by ensuring turnaround
  • First point of contact for any issues, technical or otherwise, for all team members
  • Tactically focused daily on area problem solving, process improvement and productivity monitoring
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives - representing the technical aspects of the area
  • Will have no direct reports but will assist the MM in providing leadership / direction to team members and will have input on employee reviews and discipline. Will function as a technical coach to employees, as well as being the "go-to" person for all technical related activities
  • Ensure area is kept clean to acceptable 5S housekeeping standards and 5 star contamination control standards
  • Investigate aged items within Infor
  • Credit and NCR process
  • Cycle count process

  • 2 to 3 years of relevant parts receiving experience
  • Must be able to prioritize numerous demands
  • Comfort in directing peers in set work schedule
  • Technical knowledge in parts/material receiving department/industry
  • Knowledge of Remanufacturing industry and Materials Management an asset
  • Experience in leadership and strong organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to develop and maintain positive attitudes with team members
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner in both verbal and written form of the English language
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and good time management skills
  • C andidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures

  • This posting is for a static weekend shift scheduled Fri, Sat, Sun - 12 hours per day
