Paladin Security is looking for an experienced, forward-thinking People & Culture Generalist to join our Red Deer branch. The ideal candidate will be a true generalist capable of handling the day-to-day HR operations with a focus on staffing, employee relations and employee engagement yet still keeping the big picture in mind-instilling and fostering a high-performance workplace culture and building strong relationships with all stakeholders.
Job Skills / Requirements
• Provide guidance to HR and administrative personnel on day-to-day duties. • Develop and mentor junior HR and administrative staff. • Provide sound advice to management on HR issues and identify unique solutions. • Advise management and the branch on HR best practices. • Strong ability to produce professional documents and letters. • Keep current with trends and developments in the field of HR. • Share knowledge and insight with the HR team and operations team. • Develop recruitment strategies in partnership with branch management and execute on approved strategies. • Assist in the implementation and execution of corporate projects and programs. • Handle sensitive and confidential HR issues with tact and professionalism. • Participate in HR initiatives such as career fairs as required. • Other duties as required.
• Completed post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or related field is required. • Minimum 2-3 years of progressive Human Resources experience is required. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to navigate an office environment across different departments. • Strong computer (MS Office Suite) and organizational skills. • Able to perform consistently in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a small collaborative team environment.
• Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation or working towards is an asset, but not required. • Previous experience in a security setting will be an asset.
