The mission of the People Practices & Compliance Department is to identify, consult, and mitigate people risks in the business through creative problem-solving, and the development of proactive employment practices

The typical hiring range for this position is $75,000 -$100,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.

THE ROLE
As the Associate, People Practices & Compliance, you will:
- Partner with relevant Business Partners, including Legal and Risk, to gather legislative and policy requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement people policies, supporting effective change management
- Audit and revise the Employee Handbook to ensure consistency with current policies and legislative requirements
- Support the annual rollout of the Employee Handbook, ensuring consistent application across teams
- Support the development of frameworks, tools and processes that support effective and compliant employment practices
- Partner with stakeholders to advise on amendments to employment contracts, ensuring alignment with compliance requirements
THE QUALIFICATIONS
The Associate, People Practices & Compliance has:
- Proven skills, certifications, education and/or experience in human resources compliance
- A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
- The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners
- A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business
