They help clients navigate complex transactions and maximise value in their business deals.In deal recovery management at PwC, you will focus on helping clients navigate financial distress and recover from challenging business situations. You will be responsible for providing strategic advice and solutions to optimise recovery outcomes.
Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a Performance & Restructuring Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Meeting with clients and target companies to understand their views, needs, and services tobeprovided in connection with their financial or operationalsituation
• Performing cash flow modelling and sensitivity analysis
• Strategic planning with business case and scenario modelling, including analyzing financial results and assessing the enterprises' financialstructure
• Identifying reasons for a business' underperformance and assessing the ongoing viability of the enterprise
• Assistingin the preparation of presentations and/or reports for keystakeholders
• Helping clients' management teams develop and implement turnaround plans to maintain stakeholder support
• Supporting our business development activities, including assisting in pursuit of new client opportunities and developing leads
• Distressed Merger & Acquisition and financing engagements
• Court supervised restructuring and private appointments pursuant to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act.
• Acting for secured lenders to recover theirloans
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Professional accounting designation (CPA) is required
• Excellent accounting, financial analysis and financial modelling skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, embrace the uncertainty and fluid nature of the work, andwork within a team on a number of simultaneous projects
• Strong customer relationship and business development skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace applications. Experience with other data tools such as Alteryx and Power BI is a strong asset.
• Developing an understanding of a business' operations, the risks it faces and its critical successfactors
• Preparing clear, concise and professional communications such as reports orpresentations
• Employing strong project management skills to complete assignments that meet stakeholderexpectations
• This role doesn't support completion of the Canadian CPA designation

The salary range for this position is $58,400 - $97,500.The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
