A New Opportunity Awaits

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Operations Manager to join our team in Delta, BC.

In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for the SAFE and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility in Delta and will be required to lead a highly talented production team that works around the clock. You will spend an even amount of time working on the plant floor as in the office. 

Please note that while working hours are 6am - 4pm, you will be reasonable for the safe operation of the facility 24hrs a day.  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • All elements of production 
  • Scheduling of raw materials 
  • Scheduling of staff 
  • Ensuring that the facility runs safely with minimal downtime through effective management of parts inventory and organized processes
  • Efficiently running each piece of equipment in the facility in order to effectively manage and maintain the equipment
  • Troubleshooting any and all equipment or production issues
  • Finding fault and diagnosing of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC components for manufacturing equipment
  • Supporting and developing safety goals, product quality and productivity
  • Providing support to all members of the maintenance team in performing regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipment
  • Understanding various stages of automation and control projects (PLC programming, HMI design, commission and troubleshooting) 
  • Safely optimizing machine and process efficiencies 
  • Developing and implementing operational manuals and training courses

About You

In order to qualify for this role, you will have a Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Robotic field plus a minimum of 4 years of related experience. 

To be successful in this role you will have an outstanding ability to manage through skilled and compassionate leadership.

 You will also possess:

  • Experience in Management 
  • Experience in PLC wiring, installation 
  • Experience in electrical control panel layout and wiring 
  • Experience in assembly, testing, troubleshooting and repair of industrial control panels 
  • Experience reading electrical schematic drawings 
  • Understanding PLC’s programming and HMI’s 
  • Experience with AutoCAD 
  • Excellent computer skills 
  • Technical ability in the segmental concrete industry 

You will be a good fit for this role if you have strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated organizational skills. You must also have the ability to work independently and be a flexible and team-oriented professional. Similarly, a strong leadership spirit and a real passion for safety and quality will be the key to your success in this role.

Please note that due to the nature of this role, you will need to have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
