A career within Private Company services, will provide the opportunity to help private companies with a range of business advisory needs such as audit, tax compliance, and planning to help improve their operational efficiency and to free up time that can be spent focusing on business strategy. You'll have the opportunity to experience the entire business life cycle of a private company from inception to growth, maturity and transition.
Our team helps our clients design and implement personal and customised service plans that are unique to privately owned entities, entrepreneurs, and high net worth individuals. You'll be assisting the team focus on key issues like wealth management, compliance, cash flow management, equity expansion, divestiture and exit strategies.
As a Tax Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
As a Tax Manager you will assist with:
Estate, Trust and Shareholder planning for Canadian private business familiesCanadian tax planning strategies for Canadian privately-owned business, including trust, estate and CCPC compensation and distribution planningReview and prepare Canadian compliance ( T5013 , T1, T2 and T3 returns) for Canadian shareholders, including working on tax provisions, financial statements and writing memosCompilation of information relating to clients and preparation of client filesDocumentation, research and follow-up on client Tax issues
CPA, CA, CGA, or CMA designation. Completion of In- Depth Tax program.Strong technical background and broad based tax compliance skills as a result of 3+ years or prior tax compliance experience in a professional services firmA proven leader that possesses exceptional interpersonal and communication skillsStrong analytical capability, sound business sense and strong attention to detail that have earned you the reputation of providing excellence in client service experienceAbility to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple assignments in an organized mannerAbility to manage, develop and mentor junior tax professionalsProficiency in using current technologies such as TaxPrep and the Google Suite of applications
