ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Methanex is currently seeking a Process Engineer to join the team in Medicine Hat on a full-time basis.
In this role, you will support the Lead Process Engineer in identifying methods to optimize plant operating conditions to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity on a daily basis while minimizing risks to people, equipment, and the environment.
This position is a temporary position with an anticipated commencement of August 2019 and an anticipated duration of approximately three years.
In order to qualify for this role, you must have an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering and 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience along with eligibility for membership with APEGA as an Engineer in Training (EIT). You will also have relevant experience with Process Modelling software such as Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Exchanger Design and Rating along with proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience in a petrochemical or gas processing facility is an asset.
With strong written and verbal communication and listening skills, you are a customer-focused professional who is dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers, and who has strong interpersonal and team collaborative skills.
