ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Methanex is currently seeking a Procurement Lead - Turnaround to join the team in Medicine Hat for a temporary term with an anticipated start date of March 2019 and an anticipated duration of approximately sixteen months through to June 2020. 

In this role, you will provide leadership for the turnaround (TAR) procurement team, build RFP and RFQ packages, execute service agreements for turnaround projects, ensure effective purchasing and expediting of turnaround materials, and liaise with turnaround groups to ensure procurement requirements are met.

To qualify for this role you must have an undergraduate degree in business or a related procurement designation combined with 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in an industrial or petrochemical procurement setting. You will also need to be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of programs. Previous experience building and executing RFP and RFQ packages for tender is required too as is working knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems with previous experience using Maximo deemed an asset.
