Product Manager, Business TV & Hospitality Products

Position Overview:

As a member of the Business Products and Services Team, you will be responsible for the successful growth of our third wave products and services, in particular our Business TV & Hospitality Wi-Fi offerings.

In this role, you will support new initiatives and existing programs required to support TELUS's Product Marketing strategies, all with the intent of creating internal awareness within our channels of our new products to ensure their successful introduction into the market. Focused on driving growth through cost optimization, you will develop the strategy and secure the necessary support to execute on plan with cross functional team. You will maintain the pulse of the market both directly with customers and through our sales and technical sales teams, providing feedback to our Service Development team members to ensure we are able to flexibly adapt our service offerings to the latest market requirements.

    •Responsible and accountable for the Hospitality product hardware lifecycle management and leading the program driving ROI and KPIs; interface into our integrated Market Plan with our Go-to-Market teams •Understand the competitive landscape to quantify the threat of competitive developments and identify appropriate action/responses by TELUS by working with a cross functional team •Ensures that marketing collateral, tools and sales training is optimized to ensure successful positioning of new capabilities to our customers; this includes presentations, product demonstrations, product positioning guides and the establishment of customer references for our channels •Support our stakeholder teams onboard customers (from sales to implementation) through the introduction phase on new product development, leveraging customer and channel interactions to validate product definition and process •Engage third-party industry experts to ensure alignment of product strategy to global trends •Provide product, process and market-positioning training to stakeholder teams to ensure expertise is quickly grown across TELUS


Required Skills & Abilities:
    •Demonstrate influence and strategy skills; planning, variance reporting; root cause analysis •Confidently present ideas, recommendations to senior leaders (Managers, Directors) •Proven risk management and conflict resolution skills •Excellent leadership, analytical, communication and presentation skills; •Ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders, meet tight deadlines and tolerate ambiguity; understanding of TELUS products, services and strategic direction •Advanced Required Professional Designation/Certification •University Degree in Marketing, Engineering or relevant Project Management Professional (PMP) an asset MBA an asset Required Experience •3 - 5 years Marketing or Business Development experience
