Job Title: Senior Project Manager - AIM Applications
Location: Fully Remote (Based in Calgary)
Duration: 6-Month Contract (Extendable)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and resourceful Senior Project Manager (PM) for a 6-month contract with the potential for extension. This role will focus on leading an Asset Integrity Management (AIM) applications project, specifically a custom-built .NET-based application that is already live. As a Senior PM, you will drive the continued success of the application by managing a global team, including 6 offshore developers and 1 business analyst, while collaborating with internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of project management experience, with a solid background in leading software/application projects, preferably in a technical or development environment. In this role, you will be expected to take initiative, bring a self-sufficient project management toolkit, and handle change with agility as priorities shift rapidly.

Key Responsibilities:
    Project Leadership and Delivery:
      • Lead the ongoing delivery of the AIM application project, ensuring it continues to meet business objectives and milestones.
      • Collaborate with offshore developers and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are understood, delivered on time, and aligned with expectations.
      • Own the overall project plan, schedule, and budget, ensuring projects are completed within scope, on time, and on budget.
      • Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, developing mitigation strategies and action plans to keep the project on track.

    Stakeholder Management:
      • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners.
      • Manage stakeholder expectations, keeping them informed and aligned with the project goals while ensuring transparency and clear communication.
      • Handle demanding stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met without compromising the project's overall direction and objectives.
      • Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth communication across all levels of the project team.

    Team Leadership and Collaboration:
      • Lead a global team of 6 offshore developers and 1 business analyst, ensuring they are aligned with project priorities and goals.
      • Create a culture of collaboration, accountability, and results, ensuring team members have the support and resources they need to perform.
      • Provide mentorship and guidance to the team, helping them stay on track while promoting a sense of ownership and initiative.

    Project Execution:
      • Drive the execution of the project by overseeing all aspects of project management, from scope definition and scheduling to delivery and post-launch support.
      • Take full responsibility for project documentation, ensuring that all deliverables, change requests, and project updates are well-documented and easily accessible.
      • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and changes in scope, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to re-prioritize effectively.

    Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement:
      • Take ownership of resolving any roadblocks or issues that may arise throughout the project lifecycle.
      • Bring your expertise and resourcefulness to resolve complex problems, ensuring smooth project execution despite challenges.
      • Promote continuous improvement in project management processes, encouraging innovation and efficiency.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
    Experience:
8+ years of project management experience, with a strong background in leading application development projects (preferably in a technical environment).
      • Proven track record managing custom-built software applications, ideally within industries such as energy, oil & gas, or technology.
      • Strong leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams across different time zones (especially offshore teams).
      • Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments where priorities shift rapidly and adaptability is key.

    Technical Background (Preferred):
      • Background or understanding of software development, especially in .NET technologies, to effectively communicate with technical teams and understand project requirements.
      • Knowledge of Asset Integrity Management (AIM) systems or similar technical applications is a plus.

    Core Competencies:
Self-driven and proactive: Capable of taking initiative and working independently, without requiring excessive direction.
Stakeholder management: Ability to manage demanding stakeholders and balance expectations effectively.
Adaptability: Comfort with changing priorities and the ability to pivot and adjust plans as required.
Problem-solving: Resourceful and solutions-oriented, with the ability to identify and address issues proactively.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate project progress, challenges, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Cultural fit: Comfortable in a non-political, "get-things-done" environment, where culture and collaboration are prioritized over office politics.

    Other Requirements:
      • Comfortable working remotely and managing a distributed team.
      • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
      • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring the project remains on track and nothing is overlooked.
