Rogers Radio Lethbridge has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Full-Time Promotions Coordinator and Receptionist. This is a temporary maternity leave role (June 2019 - July 2020 approximately) . Reporting to the Program Director and Promotions Director, the successful candidate will coordinate contests and station concerts/events as well as provide administrative/reception support for KiSS 107.7 and 106.7 Rock. We're looking for someone who has a passion for radio, marketing and help build up the brand of KiSS 107.7 and 106.7 Rock. Lethbridge is a vibrant city that has all the advantages of a big city with a small town feel! Just 2 hours from Calgary, close to the mountains, Waterton National Park and the U.S. border.

  • Filing and organizing prizes and documents, taking calls, and greeting clients and guests
  • Create station graphics that follow brand consistency to be used on station websites and social media pages through the use of Adobe Photoshop
  • Brainstorm contest ideas for on-air and online giveaways
  • Creation of weekly radio newsletters for a large number of online subscribers
  • Updating of liners for announcers to discuss on-air
  • Execute daily updates of station websites and social media pages
  • Keeping track of prize winners using file folders, as well as spreadsheets
  • Distribute prizes to on-air contest winners
  • Assist with the organizing of events and parties put on by the radio stations
  • Setting up and maintaining booths at several events and concerts within the community
  • Available for weekend and evening Promotional events as required
  • Other duties as required as assigned by Program Director and/or Promotions Director
  • Minimum 1 year experience in marketing, media or communications field
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Must be highly detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and a passion to succeed
  • Exceptional communication and people skills a must
  • Experience with web editing considered an asset
  • Previous street team, promotional or marketing experience an asset
  • Proficient understanding of social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
  • Experience with Photoshop considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently when required
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends when required for promotional activity
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Wordpress, Second Street, Exact Target and JumpTXT an asset
  • Must hold a valid Class 5 Drivers license
