Purchasing Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic individual to join our growing team. In this position you will manage product inventory by way of product purchasing, product receiving, and product tracking.  If you are willing to work in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing, then this job will be for you.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for carrying-out the following tasks:

• Purchase product through many of our suppliers
• Track inventory levels and identify when product needs to be re-ordered
• Obtain quotes from suppliers
• Canvass suppliers for product and pricing
• Receive product when delivered to ensure quantities are correct
• Input product information into the inventory tracking system
• Assist with inventory counting
• Receive customers
• Assist with point of sale transactions
• Answer phones and direct product inquiries to the sales department
• Interact in a friendly and professional manner with customers
• Assist with projects from time to time

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Previous experience working with metal and/or industrial plastics
• Capacity to analyze a situation and prioritize tasks
• An aptitude for working with numbers
• Work well with others
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge and experience working with QuickBooks

Compensation and Benefits

The successful applicant will be offered a competitive salary.  After 6 months of employment, the Purchasing Manager will be eligible for benefits such as extended health and dental.
