In business for over 30 years, PBS is the third largest DMS (Dealership Management System) provider to the North American retail automotive industry. The Role:



Are you a creative thinker with a strong background in training and development? The PBS Corporate Education department is looking to hire a talented, positive, and detail-oriented Employee Learning Specialist to develop and implement learning strategies and programs.

As an Employee Learning Specialist working with the Corporate Education team, you will be responsible to design and deliver e-learning educational content to support PBS employee growth and leadership.

This role will be based in our Calgary office. This is not a remote work opportunity.

Responsibilities:
  • Create engaging learning workshops and course content for the PBS Academy to support PBS employees in personal and professional development
  • Recommend ways to improve courses or add resources that will support PBS employees
  • Pursue opportunities, across different PBS departments, to create, or use existing content, to enhance the skills of employees
  • Proactively research topics and information to develop course material and provide outline proposals to corporate Education Manager for approval
  • Liaise with PBS managers to help fulfill training needs
  • Document department processes for projects
  • Provide ad hoc reporting to the Corporate Education Manager
  • Approximately 50% of time spent presenting and 50% creating course content


Qualifications:

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Action-oriented, multi-tasker who excels in a multi-project environment
  • Ability to embrace variety, structure, change and innovation
  • Works well both with a team and independently
  • Have a desire to foster strong relationships with multiple departments, understanding and assessing their needs
  • Previous experience in L&D research, development and presenting will be considered an asset
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suit - web
  • High school diploma
  • Travel within Canada and the USA (up to 2 weeks per year) may be required. In consequence, proof of COVID-19 vaccination and a valid passport and/or US visa (if applicable) will be a requirement
