As our Reliability, Availability, Maintainability & Safety (RAMS) Lead, you will guide the development of system assurance strategies across major commuter rail, LRT, subway, and high-speed rail programs.

Your Impact
- Lead all RAMS activities across complex rail programs, aligning strategies with client, project, and organizational objectives.
- Develop and implement RAMS Plans, System Safety Plans, hazard analyses, and risk assessments.
- Drive System Assurance through V-Lifecycle processes including requirements management, validation & verification, and trial running support.
- Oversee reliability, maintainability, and LCC modelling to support long-term asset performance.
- Guide incident preparedness, emergency/crisis planning, and operational risk acceptance.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams (e.g., Signaling, Rolling Stock, Traction Power, Communications, Civil/Track).
- Serve as the technical voice for RAMS with clients, regulatory bodies, and project stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop engineers within the System Assurance discipline, building future expertise across the practice.
- Influence WSP's national RAMS framework, advancing tools, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- 10+ years of technical leadership experience in RAMS/System Assurance within rail transit environments.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline; P.Eng. (or eligibility) required.
- Deep knowledge of CENELEC, CMREA, MIL-STD and other system safety standards.
- Expertise in one or more rail domains: Signaling/Train Control, Electrical/Traction Power, Rolling Stock, Mechanical, or Communications-Based Systems.
- Experience developing and delivering hazard logs, RAM modelling, risk matrices, SIL/ASIL assessments, and safety cases.
- Experience with V-Model processes, testing & commissioning, reliability demonstration, and system integration.
- Ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and communicate complex technical issues clearly.
- Comfortable supporting travel for project and client interface needs.

Compensation:
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $162,200 - $212,200
MB & ON: $148,000 - $198,000
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $146,500 - $194,600
