Closing Date: May 31, 2023 Reporting to the Senior Engineering Supervisor, the Reliability Specialist, Asset Strategy is responsible for supporting the development of innovative maintenance strategies and technologies across fixed and mobile assets at Teck's operations. Responsibilities: - Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Apply engineering principles concerning the safeguarding of life, health, property, economic interests, public welfare, and the environment
- Support the development of asset management strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce cost
- Support Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) focused, cross-functional working groups to drive continuous improvement in supply chain, site engagement, and asset performance
- Drive the predictive and preventative maintenance process, including data translation and in-depth analysis
- Coordinate, interpret, report, and communicate failure analyses through various data sources
Qualifications: - Degree or technical diploma in or other related subject area
- Three years experience in maintenanceSolid understanding of reliability principles and development of maintenance strategies
- Experience in Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFA) methodology, with demonstrated examples of how to resolve bad actors
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing new systems to improve existing technology
- Understanding of machine dynamics and equipment maintenance of mobile or fixed mining equipment an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (proficient in both English and Spanish) is an asset
