Gregg Distributors LP is a well established and growing Canadian industrial supply company that has been serving Western Canadians for over 49 years. We are looking to grow our Outside Sales team.

 

We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our Sales team.  Previous sales experience is not required.  We will offer you a strong training program, minimal out of town travel along with a very attractive compensation package that includes a base salary, benefits, bonuses, extensive perks and incentives.  If you’re looking for a career change or wanting to build your career, Gregg Distributors LP is the place for you!  Our Sales team is responsible for on-site assessment of our customers’ needs and making product and service recommendations while building and maintaining good relationships.  We pride ourselves in our high level of customer service and provide ongoing product knowledge training to our staff.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain customer relationships
  • Promote sales by assessing customers’ needs and recommending the appropriate goods and services
  • Demonstrate product knowledge and advise customers of the benefits and uses of our goods and services
  • Advise customers of monthly promotions or new product lines accordingly
  • Conduct sales transactions
  • Operate computerized inventory control systems
  • Provide support to the customer service team by picking customer orders and assisting the front counter staff
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Minimal amount of out of town travel with this position

 

Hands on industrial experience such as mechanical work or industrial sales experience is not necessary but is considered a definite asset.

 

Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to contribute in a fast paced environment
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Customer service oriented with an interest in building relationships
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to comfortably lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Must carry a valid driver’s license
