Sawmill Supervisor - Graveyard

High Level, Alberta

Under the direction of the Sawmill Superintendent, the Sawmill Production Supervisor is accountable for safely achieving maximum production consistent with Company objectives and standards along with providing direction and leadership to a crew of production employees. The Sawmill Production Supervisor is responsible for achieving maximum returns to the High Level Lumber Business by ensuring that safety, recovery, quality and production targets are met.

Qualifications:
  • Three to five years related supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment;
  • Post-secondary education in forestry, business, engineering or related field would be an asset;
  • The applicant must possess well-developed leadership, communication and supervisory skills, be highly organized, have a proven safety commitment and demonstrate strong initiative with the ability to work in a team environment;
  • Knowledge of sawmill manufacturing and log quality attributes would be considered a definite strength;
  • Analytical and computer skills an asset.
