This position is located in Olds, Alberta, it will work on a rotation based schedule 2-2-3 with working hours are 19:00 - 07:00.

Job Description
  • Monitor video surveillance, fire systems, mechanical alarms and access control to the site.
  • Maintain shift log in a professional, efficient, and informative manner.
  • Organize, delegate, and enact security duties (unlock/lockup routines, patrols, incidents, etc.)
  • Organize, maintain, and issue/receive keys to necessary parties.
  • Notification of appropriate parties for issues, incidents, or needed services.
  • Maintain radio contact with security staff.
  • Create incident reports; write incident reports for minor incidents.
  • Pass on relevant and necessary information from shift to next dispatch security guard.
  • Respond to alarms and emergency calls for assistance
  • Communicate in a truthful and receptive manner under all circumstances
  • Monitor and screen visitors and clients in a professional manner
  • Maintain detailed hourly log of all events, alarms, responses, and emergency situations that were responded to
  • Ability to have through site knowledge, and maintain professional relationships with sites and tenants
Qualifications
  • Alberta Security License is an asset
  • Ability to write comprehensive reports and maintain routine logs
  • Ability to make immediate decisions, while maintaining composure, in emergency response situations with minimal supervision
  • Ability to use and adapt to various computer systems
  • Ability to handle private and information with a high amount of discretion
  • Must be able to provide professional references upon hire
Knowledge of or ability to learn security procedures and non-defensive communication in aggressive situations
