The Opportunity: Senior Associate - Digital / Technology Advisory, Private Company Services

Our Digital / Technology Advisory consultants help our mid-market clients maximize the value of their information technology investments. This high performing team helps clients:

  • Define information technology strategy, architecture and governance,
  • Transform IT function to better enable business needs,
  • Get the most value from information technology investments, and
  • Implement technology solutions to reduce cost and complexity, increase trust and integrity, and improve operational effectiveness.

  • Successful candidates will have demonstrated proven thorough skills and success while participating in consulting-related projects within a professional services environment that utilizes creative thinking skills and individual initiative, including the following:

  • Collaborating and contributing as a team member: understanding personal and team roles; contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback.
  • Identifying and addressing client needs: building solid relationships with clients; approaching clients in an organized manner; delivering clear requests for information; demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; communicating potential conflicts to a senior team member.
  • Prioritizing and handling multiple tasks; researching and analyzing pertinent client, industry, and technical matters; utilizing problem-solving skills; and, communicating effectively in written and verbal formats to various audiences (including various levels of management and external clients) in a professional business environment.
  • Ability to help others think critically and share complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences both orally and in writing. Proven skills to work effectively across internal functional areas in ambiguous situations.

  • Requirements:

    Demonstrates thorough knowledge of contributing on project teams in one or more of the following domains:

    Leadership, Teamwork and Communication

  • Provide guidance and recommendations on project direction such as setting priority of work packages, resource allocation, and work package scheduling.
  • Interface with various streams such as project management, business stream and other project members on a regular basis.
  • Ability to identify upcoming solution related risks, provide options and recommendations to addressing risks to the project leadership
  • Superior problem solving and communications skills (verbal and written)

  • Technology Consulting: Strategy and Transformation

  • Advise and/or develop blueprints and implementation roadmaps that align technology investments with critical business priorities, while accounting for key risks and compliance issues.
  • Advise on technology driven transformation initiatives focused on enabling the IT function
  • Advise clients on emerging technologies and strategies consistent with clients' business strategies.
  • Experience conducting maturity or needs assessments, identifying and prioritizing opportunities / projects, developing roadmaps and estimates, and building consensus.
  • Advise and/or develop technology governance models and processes.
  • Architecture, design and development of enterprise technology solutions, including information management, infrastructure and applications.
  • Advise and/or develop system selection criteria and decisions making packages.

  • Experience Necessary

    Minimum 4 years of progressively more responsible related work experience in any of the following areas:

  • Technology strategy and transformation
  • Enterprise architecture
  • IT governance
  • Cloud and emerging technologies
  • IT sourcing and shared services outsourcing
  • Systems advisory, assessment or selection
  • Previous consulting experience considered an asset
  • Previous client facing experience considered an asset
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Engineering or any related field
  • ITIL, TOGAF, PMP, or equivalent certification considered an asset
