Senior Business Analyst – Sales Incentive & Recognition Strategy

The Sales Incentive Strategy team is a national Centre of Expertise that focuses on translating business goals and strategies into measurable metrics that recognize successful sales team members within the Business Solutions Teams, Business Customer Experience, Partner Solutions and Consumer groups. Our team works with the business unit leaders to design and develop sales incentive program metrics that reward team members for achieving business goals.

Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together

As a Senior Business Analyst, you are a subject matter expert in helping to disentangle the complexities of Sales Incentives and focus on analysis & insights of the incentive plan performance. You will focus on "what if" analysis work, pressure testing ideas for sales performance enhancement inclusive of developing pilot and mirror programs that will allow us to understand how sales incentives should evolve in the future.

Here's how
    •Collaborate with sales leaders, finance controllers and other stakeholders to define clear requirements around the best ways to measure successful outcomes aligned with the business strategy •Design sales incentive measures that reward individuals for achieving success •Support incentive programs for TELUS mergers & acquisitions, using learning from these smaller organizations to develop the "art of the possible" within our core sales teams •Develop clear structures to define return on investment for incentive dollars spent •Define pilot programs and test structures for automation of complex manual processes, including exploring machine learning and artificial intelligence possibilities


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •Experience working with large datasets of varying quality across a variety of formats •Strong familiarity with analytical tool sets, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Toad Data Point and Tableau Desktop •High level of comfort with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, with the ability to turn around complex materials on tight timelines •Ability to convert a variety of strong, often conflicting opinions into actionable insights, next steps and decisions •Comfort distilling complex data into high-level views that can be easily understood by a broad executive audience •Excellent time management skills, with the ability to self-direct and quickly prioritize tasks in a dynamically changing work environment •Natural curiosity and willingness to openly explore new ideas in service of solving ongoing long-term challenges

    •Experience with developing and maintaining SQL queries using common best practices •Administrative experience with the CallidusCloud Commissions platform or similar familiarity with Machine Learning platforms, and system automation •Strong sense of visual design
