You are passionate about applying your skills in learning and change leadership expertise within a team responsible for driving technology innovation and will bring your creative thinking and project management and business consultant expertise to help take our high performance culture to the next level. In this role, within our Technology Strategy (TS) team, you will work closely with senior leaders, business primes, and stakeholders across the organization to deliver key strategic and transformational initiatives. Specifically, you will be responsible for owning, driving and reporting on a wide range of networking related challenges involving multiple technologies and internal stakeholder groups. You will work on the development, testing, and automation of various reporting programs which will drastically impact our customer and team experience; speeding up the delivery of new technology. YOU could be front and centre evolving one of the countries fastest and most advanced networks reaching millions of customers.

Here's how
    •Lead the development of IP solutions to solve service provider networking challenges •configure, build, troubleshoot, and optimize a complex highly available Service Provider IP NGN core infrastructure •Engineer customer centric network solutions with a strong interaction with PNF and VNF applications teams •Consult and or create testing strategies using knowledge of IP protocol & performance test tools such as IXIA and Spirent •Engage external vendors, Operators and internal TELUS teams to advance sustainable and scalable IP Core networks and services •Coordinate multiple teams to implement and trial services and technology •Acquire knowledge on the latest technologies in programmable networking, NFV and SDN •Conduct analysis and prepare executive-level summary reports to support decision making and drive operational effectiveness •Help to accelerate change within TS by providing change management support and thought leadership for large scale transformations, including new technology rollouts and other strategic change initiatives •Communicate ongoing progress against key milestones, project issues, impacts, performance metrics, risks and recommendations through regular reporting and presentations to project stakeholders and senior management


Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •Known as a leader who can adapt quickly, learn fast, embrace change and lead by example
    Regarded as a self-starter who isn't afraid to take the initiative •Respected for your 7+ years of knowledge in IP core, aggregation/edge, and remote access technologies as well as Multicast, TE, SR,QOS, MPLS, L2/L3 VPN, Metro Ethernet •An expert in IP Routing Protocols (ISIS, OSPF, BGP, PIM) •Experience with Nokia SROS, Juniper JUNOS and Cisco IOS
    Noted for your leadership in technology, particularly around networking and computing (TCP/IP, python, Linux and related technologies) •Equipped with an Engineering, computer science or related degree

Great-to-haves
    •Good knowledge of SDN and NFV technology environments •Knowledge in programmability of networks (OpenConfig, NetConf, YANG, etc.) •Previous working experience with underlay and overlay controllers for network creation, network modeling, and network deployments
