As Senior Clinical Manager, you will work cross-functionally with Sales, Implementation, Operations and Development teams to extend and support clinical content and services for TELUS Health Electronic Medical Record (EMR) products and services. You will cultivate strategic partnerships with internal teams as well as customers to aid in the designing and building of strong clinical system solutions and clinical operations functionality.
You will provide guidance to the Regional teams related to the adoption of new features and functionality being brought to market. This may include options analysis, end to end business and clinical workflow definition and documentation and development of change management supports.Responsibilities:
•Extend the reach of TELUS Health through the delivery of innovative clinical content and enhancement of our EMR products
•Facilitate product improvements and expand in-house clinical knowledge by coordinating the gathering of client feedback and building strong and responsive relationships with medical thought leaders and healthcare improvement organizations
•Assess and interpret business, clinical, and end user needs and requirements and translate specific portions of business/clinical requirements into specific system requirements
•Document the business/clinical impact of options related to clinical workflows and adoption
•Assess, interpret and understand Health Authority and Provincial requests for integration of provincial and health authority systems with EMRs, develop statements of work and business case as required
•In collaboration with implementation and post implementation delivery teams, lead process improvement and quality improvement initiatives
•Understand and apply adult learning principles and change management methodologies
•Act as a liaison between systems development staff, management, and clinical end-usersQualifications:Required Knowledge:
•Experience assessing business and clinical needs and building consensus between groups with divergent needs and viewpoints
•Experience with strategic thinking and positioning and tactical delivery
•Experience with workflow analysis and documentation (MS Visio), adult learning principles, change management processes
•Microsoft (MS) Excel & PowerPoint skills: Ability to construct reports and presentations with well-structured thoughts and presentation style Required Skills & Abilities:
•Demonstrated ability to lead clinical working groups and facilitate resolution to complex topics and issues
•Demonstrated understanding of the dependencies impacting a successful clinical implementation including but not limited to Privacy and Security, System Readiness, Business Readiness, Issue Management, Training and Operational Support
•Possess exceptional oral and written communication, presentations and business/clinical documentation skills
•Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
•Willingness to travel
•A passion for making a difference in healthcare
•Proven ability to work as part of a team Required Professional Designation/Certification:
•Graduate or undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Health Management or related discipline
•Preference will be given to candidates with an undergraduate degree and work experience in a clinical profession such as Nursing, Pharmacy etc Required Experience:
