As a Senior Project Manager, each day will keep you on your toes with your value-add Financial Planning & Analysis and Reporting expertise.
You will provide guidance to internal clients and key decision-makers to help TELUS gain competitive advantage and maximize value creation by delivering innovative solutions and operational excellence.Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together
•Prime responsibility for development and maintenance of Hyperion TELUS-wide planning tools used for annual budget, monthly triages, strat check activities; tools used for all business units
•Works with Business Unit (BU) Controllers to design, build, and maintain evolving planning tools to support planning activities
•Manages all Information Technology (IT) software/environment updates and coordinates with Business Transformation & Operations (BTO) to ensure minimal downtime and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
•Performs Hyperion project management roles for larger projects
•Initiates and implements ongoing process improvements to improve efficiency in Hyperion as well as other planning and actuals tools; also design and build other process improvements e.g. centralized accrual process/tool; Key Performance Indicator (KPI) restatements for other systems
•Overall subject matter experts in SAP Controlling (CO) module, providing expertise to all Controller groups in Finance
•Advises management of risks and recommendations for Hyperion model development; develops timelines for model improvements; coordinates testing schedules with users
•Independent analyst and able to complete tasks which are on tight schedules; able to quickly adapt to changing deadlines/priorities/processes; prioritizes own work to ensure all deliverables met
•Ensures communication to all stakeholders and leaders to ensure clear direction and processes are implemented in a timely manner; escalates issues where appropriate

•Strong analytical skills are required, including the ability to work and present in Microsoft (MS) Excel
•Familiarity with Hyperion Planning
•Familiarity with SAP management reporting & planning processes

•Minimum of 7 years of relevant systems development and analytical experience in a large, complex, and dynamic organization
•University degree in Business, Computer Science or Engineering or a college diploma; required experience demonstrated by progressive responsibilities
•Experience in Hyperion Planning software & SAP management reporting
•Programming experience with scripting languages like Perl, Python, MS Excel macro development (Visual Basic for Applications), MS Access development
•Analytical, problem solving, decision making, priority management, risk analysis, business process knowledge and acumen and conceptual thinking skills Great-to-have
