As a part of this team, you will focus on the investigation of breaches of TELUS Ethics, Security, Privacy and other policies. Additionally; you will investigate things such as cable and copper thefts, mobility cell tower vandalism, theft of cell site batteries and incidents affecting the disruption of critical communications infrastructure.

Here's how
    •Willing and available to work in a 24/7 environment, on an on-call basis •Assess threats, investigate incidents, and implement security measures to address incidents and risks to TELUS' assets on a national basis and breaches of TELUS' Ethics, Security, Privacy and other policies •Provide security plans for emergencies, major events, bomb/chemical threats and recommend physical security measures to enhance the security posture of various TELUS facilities and sites as may be required to increase safety and reduce and mitigate losses •Act as a trusted advisor regarding criminal and police matters for senior management, and provides internal security support to the entire corporation •Liaise and form partnerships with a wide range of internal TELUS stakeholders to provide awareness of risks and give recommendations with respect to breaches of policies, assist with terminations and workplace violence threats •Investigate TELUS communications' cable thefts, copper thefts, mobility cell tower vandalisms, theft of cell site batteries, and outages of critical communications infrastructure and support and liaise with units and personnel affected by these, inserting measures to identify responsible persons and mitigate and deter repeated attempts •Liaise and form investigative partnerships with policing agencies, prosecutors, Crime Stoppers, TELUS business units, private industry partners, the scrap metal industry, and varied municipal bylaw enforcement agencies and provides awareness training to these stakeholders of the manner, method and scope of such theft •Liaise with law enforcement to investigate outages, theft, fraud, data and privacy breaches and threats directed to team members TELUS assets and infrastructure



Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •You have 5+ years of investigative or law enforcement hands-on experience •You are recognized for your investigative experience and formalized training from a college, university or the Police force •You are respected for your interviewing, interrogation, communication and report writing skills •You are confident in your ability to analyze complex records, forensic reports, and able to work with applications and systems germane to the communications industry •You have knowledge of the Criminal Code, Privacy Policies, Canadian Human Rights, the investigative process, prosecution and court procedure, and Canadian evidentiary standards •You are capable of immediate Licencing by Solicitor General as Private Investigator •You hold a currently valid Private Investigator license for the Province of Alberta •You hold a currently valid Secret Level Security Clearance •You hold a currently valid Vulnerable Sector Clearance

Great-to-haves
    •College or University degree •Accreditation with ASIS, IAFCI, CFE •Courses, accreditation, training with regard to Information technology, computer forensics; criminology; physical security, fraud, interviews and interrogation, open source intelligence techniques
