TELUS Health is seeking a Technology Architect with leadership skills to provide technical leadership within the Health Benefit Management team specifically the Multi Benefit team. In this role you will drive the adherence to technology and process direction through your expertise of technology, mentoring and guidance on plans to implementation. You will research, analyze, design, monitor and mentor the cross development teams as they perform their initiatives around development, implementations and Production Support.
You will partner with both technical, security, architecture and development teams to support the delivery of high quality, scalable, extensible, secure solutions that meet the needs of our growing business. You need to be conversant in current industry architectural standards and standard development methodologies and able to drive a technical/architectural vision.
Your goal will be ensuring the team and our Product have a focus and voice in reliability through a healthy infrastructure, a common approach in a view of performance and an approach to improving process through use of technology. This includes monitoring or our Product in Production, CICD pipeline, adoption of technologies within our infrastructure to our development.Here's how

•To be successful in this role you will need to be detail oriented, communicate well and adapt to new tools and technology
•Liaise with internal team members, end users and/or other systems departments and/or vendors as needed
•Generate accurate estimates on all work efforts
•Assist is setting standards and reviewing methodologies
•Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience Great-to-haves
•15+ years Senior Solution Architect experience in enterprise applications, solutions design/development, experience with SDLC, including projects with standards based messaging, identity management, registries and security management
•Knowledge of OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), Google Cloud and ability to learn and keep up with new technology
•Self-starter who is able to take ownership and thrive in an independent environment
•Presentation skills to diverse audiences
•Progressive software development experience, developing high-volume, on-line transaction processing applications in a multi-platform, multi-tiered, 24x7 environment
•Strong understanding of web-based application architectures and in-depth knowledge of several e-Business technologies including Application Servers, Portal technologies, Web Services, Middleware, EAI/Legacy Systems, Systems Infrastructure
•Knowledge of web security issues and technologies for authentication, encryption, authorization; privacy and data security issues and legislation
•Working experience in private and public cloud infrastructures, with public Cloud technologies and concepts (AWS, GCP or Azure) experience
•Expertise in modern development concepts: Micro-service Architecture, TDD, Agile, CI/CD, Backends for Frontends (BFF)
•Knowledge of reliability principles
•Experience in progressive technologies such as HTML5, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, React, Angular.js, Node.js, Container Orchestration, .NET, APM, Splunk
•Progressive experience working with database technologies: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, RDS, Aurora, etc
•Progressive experience with Enterprise Java Programming and APIs (SOAP and REST)
•Working knowledge of traditional infrastructure: Unix, Windows, Oracle Database Server, Oracle webLogic, webMethods Integration server, MS SQL Server, hypervisor and virtualization, networking
•Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills, French is an asset
