TELUS New Markets is a new team that in partnership with team members, customers, suppliers and rivals will co-create solutions that matter more. The team will discover new opportunities and validate use cases, technology services and market timing through pilots, partnerships and acquisitions.

We have an opening for a Senior Strategy Manager - 5G Business Development on the New Markets team.

You are team-oriented, energetic and a results-driven thought leader. You will be part of a team that's focused on driving the TELUS 5G program to growing and executing on strategy through partnerships. Working with the New Markets Director, you will support the team and partner with cross functional stakeholders to deliver in the following:
    •Identify potential partnerships •Develop [artner business models •Negotiate partnerships Agreements •Manage partner programs

Responsibilities:
    •Act as an advisor by collaborating with teams as needed for strategy development and communication, special projects, presentation development, and opportunity assessments •Develop strong relationships with stakeholders at peer and executive levels - be someone who can advise and shape strategy by influencing without authority •Work directly with VP, SVP level and higher •Be a strategic thinker who is innovative and creative in transforming data into actionable insights •Thrive in ambiguous situations, demonstrating structured thinking/processes to simplify complexity •Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and ingenuity with the ability to effectively achieve organizational established goals and objectives •Communicate clearly and purposefully, sharing business and strategic context on an ongoing basis to ensure our stakeholders are continually informed of relevant industry and business developments and our leadership team's priorities and expectations •Continuously improve both your skill set and our team's processes to optimize the strategy development and communication, project management, stakeholder engagement and analytical support •Apply your passion for growth, driving change and identifying areas of improvement or strategic projects



Qualifications:

Required Knowledge:
    •Knowledge of the 5G market landscape including key players and competition in the market for platform technologies, implementation partners, and networks •Familiarity with industrial internet and the components which encompass a 5G enabled solutions
Required Skills & Abilities:
    •Ability to understand or create new business and financial models quickly with less than full information •Analyzes problems and situations, and their impacts •Ability to influence leaders and peers to gain support and overcome resistance with data and persuasion •Strong negotiating skills •Strong verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to interact with senior leaders
Required Professional Designation/Certification:
    •A Bachelor's degree with an MBA or equivalent experience and education
Required Experience:
    •5-7 years of experience in business development
