The Home Solutions and Complementary Channels (HS&CC) team is looking for a passionate and dynamic individual to fulfill a unique role directly supporting the VP of Consumer Wireline Marketing and the leadership team.

    •We lead the overall sales and marketing activities of consumer wireline products and services to over 3.6M households in BC and AB
    •We lead the extraordinary growth in our PureFibre network to enhance the lives of our customers by unlocking the power of our Best Internet networks to deliver innovative new products and services that generate positive EBIDTA growth outcomes for TELUS

About the role:

Strategy and Planning:
    •Lead and coordinate the overall strategic planning activities
    •Coordinate and lead quarterly planning to establish more tactical marketing and customer messaging priorities
    •Support the development of the annual VP scorecard and PPOs and communicate out to the wider team
    •Spearhead executive-level storytelling and deck building as required
    •Drive ad-hoc requests requiring immediate attention, including analyses, communications, presentation building, just to name a few

OPEX Budget Management:
    •Assume overall stewardship of the HS+CC $100M OPEX budget and coordinate inputs into the annual budgeting, monthly triage and Strat Check planning cycles
    •Provide support across the team to manage and assess monthly spend requirements and divert or optimize spend across the various marketing activities to achieve loading outcomes
    •Coordinate with our Finance support partners as required

Resource Management:
    •Track, manage and optimize our resource pool to ensure we have the right staffing model to achieve our priorities
    •Implement an effective strategic staffing model across the team to build a pipeline of talent to invest across our growth portfolios
    •Continue to evolve various team forums to enhance work processes, drive efficiencies and ensure the right level of team interlock and engagement
    •Build effective relationships across the CSB partner teams to support high level CSB reporting requirements
    •Support the delivery of internal or cross business unit VP-level communications working with our Communications partners as needed


Qualifications:


What YOU Bring to our team:
    •Strong overall understanding of the HS+CC business and the very competitive wireline consumer market
    •Ability to operate and adapt in a demanding, fast-paced environment by managing flexible hours, multiple tasks, competing priorities, numerous stakeholders and tight deadlines
    •Strong strategic planning, critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
    •Experience with managing budgets and operational expenditures in agile environments
    •Proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships at all levels, with an aptitude to guide and lead cross-functional teams on specific projects
    •Ability to navigate ambiguous and bring clarity and focus to complex issues
    •Strong writing and communication skills, particularly the ability to adjust messaging for all levels of the organization, to simplify and to organize information succinctly
    •Ability to anticipate needs, be proactive, think logically and creatively and exercise good judgment
    •Awareness in process and project fundamentals including governance and compliance
    •Strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy and the ability to remain calm under pressure
    •Excellent proficiency using applications within Google and Microsoft suites
    •University degree or equivalent in business with 7-10 years of equivalent experience
    •Location: Preference for AB or BC (Edmonton, Vancouver, Calgary; other location will be considered)
