You are tactical, able to predict customers' needs and requirements, perceive potential issues, events or tasks in the short term. You also have a strategic view to implement innovative solutions for the long term. You could be collaborating with other TELUS technology teams in planning the transition of a customer one day and help develop a solution for the sales team to present to a prospect the next day. Your primary focus will be to support our customers who have outsourced their IBMi systems to TELUS. You will use your vast IBMi knowledge and skills to help deliver a superior level of system availability and resiliency. Your years of experience will contribute to our culture of continuous process improvement to deliver great service to drive customer's delight to recommend TELUS services to other potential clients. Qualifications: You're the missing piece of the puzzle
•10 years of experience or more in an IBMi technical support role in a multi system or outsource environment
•Expertise with configuring and supporting VIOS, LPARs, BRMS, VTLs, IBM SANs, fiber switches
•Strong knowledge of IBMi performance, capacity planning, communications, work management and security
•Disaster Recovery (DR) or DR exercise experience using tape recovery, SAN replication or HA applications like MIMIX
•CL programming experience
•System migration project management: planning, coordination and execution experience
•An attitude to be a self-starter, can work independently, demonstrate yourself as a strong team player
•Good communication skills and are comfortable interacting with customer's users or management level partners
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering Great-to-haves
•RPG programming experience
•Websphere and Java support
•SNA and Enterprise Extender
