TELUS Consumer Technology Enablement is seeking a Technical Architect to join a dynamic team supporting the Salesforce.com platform within the TELUS Consumer organization. The solution supports TELUS in providing best in class customer service to its clients. The Client Experience Technology Enablement Team leads and supports numerous enterprise systems and tools used by our Client Experience, Business Customer Experience, Small Business Solutions and TELUS Quebec Contact Centers. Working in close partnership with Project Management Office, Operations, Marketing and Business Transformation & Operations, our team leads short term delivery, while designing the long term roadmap and evolution of the systems used by our Contact Centers. What YOU will do:
•Own the technical architecture components of the system end to end by managing the current and future state if the architecture from an IT integration, Object Oriented, and Data Model Layer perspective
•Responsible for continuous service improvement in both business capabilities as well as internal systems capabilities
•Documenting learnings from past experiences and evolving technical architecture based on recommendations from those experiences
•Define current and future state of processes for environment change management and roll back capabilities as well as other mitigation strategies
•Research best in class designs, study designs from vendors and align them with standard IT frameworks
•Foster environment of ideation and innovation to cultivate new solution concepts for both new Business as well as Technical capabilities
•Work with other technical team members, business analysts, and leaders to implement new business capabilities, infrastructure and troubleshoot issues
•Interpret system requirements, define technical tasks, and design new system capabilities and solution
•Coordinate technical dependencies with other teams
•Participate and lead technical software development activities for complex projects in a cross functional environment
•Make recommendations to improve product quality, reliability, performance and scalability
•Conduct periodic software continuous improvement cycles
•Demonstrate a passion for designing and developing well architected, robust automated systems and frameworks ensuring high quality of code
•Ability to multitask, manage time, and ability to handle urgent interruptions with poise and professionalismQualifications:What YOU bring:
•Good verbal and written communication skills
•Strong knowledge of object oriented principles
•Familiarity with other object oriented languages (APEX, Java, PHP, ASP.NET, etc.) and design patterns considered an asset
•Experience developing/designing automation, utilities, and helper frameworks
•Experience developing web-service and working in a SaaS environment
•Experience with Agile Development, Scrum, or XP methodologies
•Familiarity with Waterfall model also considered an asset
•Experience in developing, automating and web-services
•Integration experience on Salesforce.com using SOAP and REST API's
•Ability to conceptualize and frame problems into solutions
•Experience with authentication and authorization protocols, familiarity with LDAP and SSL Experience with Encryption, Network protocols, and cryptography also considered an asset
•Experience with Oracle 10g/11g, MySQL, and other database products is and asset
•Experience with MS Exchange/SFDC integration in considered an asset
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is considered an asset
•SFDC Technical Architect Certification is considered an asset
