Position Overview: The Shipper Receiver is responsible for all movement of equipment in and out of the branch.

Job Description:

Major Job Functions:
  • Ensures setup of customer service orders as per written requirements
  • Completes proper paperwork to customer service on returns
  • Ensures proper packaging and addressing of shipments for common carriers
  • Prepares or oversees the proper packaging, documentation and addressing of shipments for common carriers
  • Prepares all dangerous goods requirements are enforces compliance
  • Sets up of customer service orders as per written requirements
  • Completes proper paperwork to customer service on returns
  • Inspects equipment prior to shipment and on return for serviceability
  • Notifies shop personnel and customer service on damaged or missing equipment
  • Performs checks on inventory levels of equipment, parts, supplies, materials and notifies customer service of shortages
  • Maintains computerized record-keeping system
  • Oversees unloading of equipment and supplies
  • Operates forklift or other equipment to unload goods
  • Performs general housekeeping in warehouse and yard
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Specific Skills & Knowledge:
  • In addition to the Core Competencies*, this position requires the following:
  • Has good working knowledge of all rental equipment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good paperwork skills
  • Possesses sufficient mechanical skills to perform and/or recommend minor equipment repairs
  • Committed to a safe work environment
  • Demonstrate high levels of customer service to everyone in the company
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision


Education & Experience :
  • Minimum three months of operating experience of rough terrain forklift, counterbalance forklift, compact construction equipment, large construction equipment

  • Physical requirements:

  • Work Environment:
  • Work will be outdoors and indoors with general warehouse conditions
  • This position requires frequent lifting and significant degree of walking, bending and transporting objects of various weights and dimensions
  • This job requires interaction with co-workers and the public
