About the Opportunity

Halse-Martin Construction has a long-term employment opportunity for a Site Superintendent for various projects throughout the lower mainland.

Working closely with the Project Manager, you will be responsible for a number of Site Supervision and Management elements including:

  • Liaising with clients on a daily basis
  • Maintaining a safe and organized construction site using the Halse-Martin’s safety program
  • Driving project schedule and maintaining quality
  • Supplier and subcontractor coordination and supervision
  • Coordinating site layout
  • Coordinating sub-trade manpower to suit project schedule
  • Depending on the project, be actively involved in the running of carpentry crews 

This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable and adaptable individual who preferably has 10+ years of experience as a site superintendent working on mid-size renovations including financial institutions, healthcare facilities, heritage restoration and low-rise buildings. Site management experience is essential, as are strong interpersonal, communication and document management skills.

Our ideal candidate will possess a Journeyman Carpentry Ticket or equivalent experience, have a solid understanding of construction contracts, specifications and drawings, have experience in healthcare and institutional projects, and possess a class 5 drivers license and first aid ticket.
