Position Overview: The SITECH Technology Sales & Service Representative is responsible for achieving sales growth, profitability and account penetration within an assigned territory by effectively selling construction technology products such as Trimble grade and machine control systems. The technology sales rep is an outside sales position, personally contacting & securing new customers.

The assigned customer base includes both strategic customers such as large construction contractors and smaller scale construction customers. Duties include achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets and growing SITECH Technology market share in Western Canada.

Preferred experience in the use of Trimble products and/or a minimum of five years' experience in the construction industry, sales or related industries. The ideal candidate will have field sales experience, possess a degree in technical and/or civil engineering, surveying, or a related business field.

Job Description:

Major Job Functions:
  • Accountable for the sales performance of the region including the achievement of revenue and profit on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
  • Manages regional expense budgets on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
  • Achieves regional revenue forecasts
  • Maintains strong customer relations and satisfaction; proactively and diligently works to ensure customer problems are resolved quickly
  • Works diligently to achieve company objectives and goals
  • Monitors and reports strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the market, specifically with competitors
  • Delivers regular and accurate forecasts to the Sales Manager and General Manager
  • Collects information that aids in the development and improvement of products and services offerings

  • Strong sales aptitude; has successfully sold products and services
  • Experienced in the following aspects of the sales process:
    • Calculation of market share
    • Calculating deal closure rate
    • Executes sales plans focusing on territory and product line
    • Plans sales activities daily, weekly and monthly
    • Collects and processes sales leads
    • Performs sales utilizing the consultative sales process
    • Performs key account management to maximize the company's success in building strong relationships with leading regional customers
    • Works hard to guarantee high current customer retention
    • Strong team member; shares information about successes and failures with fellow employees to help achieve objectives as a team
    • Willingness to take disciplined risks
    • Able to set priorities appropriate for short and long-term objectives
    • Possesses integrity and good character

Education and Experience:
  • Education or experience in technical, civil engineering, surveying, or related business field would be considered beneficial but not required for this role
  • Preferred experience in selling/supporting construction equipment &/or survey/machine control technology operation, support or sales
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience relating directly to the survey &/or construction industry


Note:
  • This position will be based in Grande Prairie AB and cover the Peace Region territory
  • Successful external candidates shall be subject to a criminal records check
  • Successful candidate must provide a clean drivers abstract
