Position Overview:

As a Design & Development Specialist you will work closely with our Security DevOps organisation and other key stakeholders to understand how the different systems interconnect. With your superior design expertise and strong technical background your work will create value and prevent future security challenges.

Responsibilities:
    •Development of Large Complex Deals (LCDs) and New Solutions including design, development, and testing associated with security solutions that includes NG-Firewalls, IPS and other network security technologies •Work closely with architecture team to understand the solution requirements as well as the Delivery Engineering team to ensure successful delivery •Development of proof of concept and prototypes for LCDs or new solutions •Design solution as a system - interconnecting different operational and business support systems to deliver unparalleled quality to our customers •Development and execution of test plans and documentation of the results •Development of complete solution documentation (build books, run books, etc.) •Maintain product feature requests/deficiencies and working with vendor in periodic status conversations

Required Professional Designation/Certification:
    •Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or an equivalent Technical School Diploma in Telecommunications and equivalent work related experience •Vendor (Cisco, Juniper, PAN, FireEye, HP etc.) security products certification

Required Experience:
    •5 or more years of design and development experience in the Information security field •5 or more years performing lab evaluations including and not limited to proof of concept and network security modelling •Hands-on experience with the Cisco, PAN and Juniper platforms developing and troubleshooting security policies •Experience with UNIX, Linux, Scripting, MS Windows, and Web programming is desirable •Proficient in the use and application of PC-based applications (i.e. MS Office suite: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
