The opportunity

As a Tax Services Manager, you will be a part of our Business Tax Incentives (BTI) practice. Our multidisciplinary tax incentives team, specializing in scientific research and experimental development (SR&ED) tax credits and other tax credits and incentives. We offer an excellent opportunity for a talented Manager to play a key role in EY's rapidly growing and dynamic Incentives practice.

Your key responsibilities

As a manager, you will deliver first-rate advisory services to our clients. You will be interacting regularly with clients at the forefront of technology either individually or as part of a team.

Skills and attributes for success
    • Meet with clients and leverage your broad knowledge of current technologies to identify opportunities for claiming SR&ED in fields such as process improvements in mining, pulp & paper and oil & gas, prototype development, environmental research, clean tech research and new product developments in manufacturing. •Prepare detailed project descriptions for client R&D activities. •Assist in reviews with the Canada Revenue Agency. •Participate in market initiatives and networking events •Expand your network in the Resource and Manufacturing Sectors • Present assignment deliverables to clients, with partner and/or principal as appropriate, and ensure client satisfaction • Maintain regular contact with current clients to identify and communicate service opportunities • Organize, prepare, and clearly present information to others and respond to their questions in one-on-one and group situations.

To qualify for the role you must have
    • Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or related disciplines. •4-5 years' experience with the SR&ED program would be considered a strong asset. •Industry experience in oil & gas, mining or pulp & paper would be an asset. •Creative thinker - ability to innovate solutions to client problems on the spot. •Excellent communication skills (outgoing personality, written, verbal, and listening). •Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. •Interest in joining a strong, dynamic team environment
