Position Overview: As a part of the Global Talent & Organizational Development team, you will be in a hands-on role designing programs and building Finning's capacity on a number of talent and OD initiatives-Performance Management, Succession Planning, Employee Experience surveys, and Inclusion & Diversity.

Collaborating closely with HR teams and key business partners in the regions that Finning operates - western Canada, South America and the UK - is required to effectively design and deliver on programming in this role. Your passion for building and educating others in the talent and OD space, and anticipating continuous improvement opportunities, will also be key to success in this role.

Job Description:

Major Job Functions:
  • Develop program communication, training and evaluation such as: program overview documentation and training materials, providing training and facilitation, source feedback, and regular overall program evaluation
  • Support the end-to-end process of the annual Employee Experience Survey, analyze and report on various employee engagement measures and recommendations including pulse surveys
  • Consult with internal client partners on needs assessments and analysis, competency identification, program offering, availability and accessibility needs, curriculum content and efficient use of resources and subject matter expertise
  • Advise HR partners on new programs, with an ongoing focus on continuous improvement for needs specific to regions and businesses
  • Support/coordinate ad hoc HR projects related to talent and inclusion & diversity
  • Help drive effective talent development programs that meet and support all objectives and measures set out to ensure internal business client partners needs and professional capacity building requirements are met
  • Develop and/or launch programs within set budget and project timelines
  • Foster an effective work environment which successfully contributes to meeting internal client partners business and professional capacity building requirements
  • Develop methods and tools to measure training initiatives effectiveness and provide metrics
  • Encourage employee development to drive continuous learning and knowledge sharing throughout the company

Education & Experience:
  • Related post-secondary education (i.e. Diploma or Degree)
  • Four to seven years of experience in progressive Human Resources and/or Organizational/Talent Development roles, including management consulting for HR leaders
