The Content Support and Implementation team offers a high level of exposure to a diverse range of always challenging and ever rewarding opportunities while working on leading edge technologies. Comprised of passionate specialists with a propensity for ongoing success, we are responsible for the development, operational readiness and support of TELUS content collection and delivery solutions for Optik TV, Pik TV, Optik on the Go and the TELUS Wholesale TV offering.
As the newest member of our team, you will be focussing on work alongside this highly collaborative group of team members as well as several strategic vendor partners. As a member of the Content Support and Implementation team you will utilize DevOps principals to evaluate current and new solutions, discover, evaluate, and provide next level support to the Optik Operations team. Your contributions will directly impact our ongoing pursuit to enhance network monitoring and dashboard reporting to provide real time health alerts of our service to be used by our frontline and support teams to quickly identify problems and in turn help reduce mean time to repair and provide after action reports which will enhance the understanding of the health status of our services.Here's how

•Commended for being a fast learner and resourceful
•Known for effective time management and ability to work independently and amongst a team
•Research, analytical and problem solving skills
•Recognized for your initiative and owning complex issues through to resolution
•Familiar with multicasting protocols
•Understanding of programming fundamentals (Java, C++, C#, Scala, Python, etc.) and scripting languages (Python/PHP/R)
•Strong sense of business ownership and customer focus
•Advanced oral and written English language and communication skills
•With a Bachelor degree in Engineering, computer science or related discipline Great-to-haves
•3+ years of relevant experience supporting IPTV technologies, development & standardization
•Experience with Transport Network concepts & technology
•Experience working with video encoding technologies and compression formats used for live and file based video delivery
