TELUS' Technology Strategy team leverages evolving technologies to provide a reliable and superior Customer Experience, to delight and engage our customers. You will be a member of the Optik TV Content Support & Implementation team, collaborating with many teams to ensure projects are delivered in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Our teams works closely with the development and planning teams to identify improvements as well as implement next-generation solutions that enhance encoding and delivery capabilities. We're looking for team members who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, encoding/decoding, networking and data storage, IP/Optical transport and Ops Readiness; the list goes on and is growing every day.
You will also be providing support and guidance to a 24x7 operations team who is responsible for the day to day continuity of our television content collection and delivery nationally for all Optik TV platforms.

As a Team Member of the Optik TV Content Support & Implementation team, you will be providing technical support and guidance to the TV Operations staff for service troubles as well as implementing solutions to support our growing TV infrastructure. You will interface with TELUS development, planning, design and transport teams as well as equipment vendors to identify improvements of our existing solutions as well as build, maintain and operate a first in class television signal collection and distribution network to serve our residential and commercial customers across all Optik TV platforms.
With your technical expertise you will manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables, as you test, deploy, maintain new solutions and identify enhancements on existing solutions.

•Performs: Execute on time sensitive projects to enhance our international content collection and encoding solutions ensuring our operations team has the proper understanding of those solutions to ensure reliability of our content delivery to our customers
•Identifies & Recommends: Optik TV solution improvements to enhance the stability of our network as well as investigation and align on DevOps process creation and improvements
•Mentors & Trains: Mentors and trains team members on technical and industry-related issues and provides effective knowledge transfer
•Evaluates & Provides: feedback on solutions from our development and planning teams ensuring the end result meets operational and support requirements Qualifications:You're the missing piece of the puzzle
•Help us take on a wide variety of issues and bring innovative new content collection and delivery solutions to fruition
•Oversee the project to completion, supporting delivery processes that are in place
•Maintain and develop strong relationships with internal teams, external vendors and other carriers

•Quantitative analysis abilities coupled with exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
•Enjoys building relationships and have strong communication skills
•Superior analytical, problem solving, and project management skills and an ability to drive solutions across multiple cross-functional teams

•Degree in Computer Science or Engineering

•IP based knowledge and exposure to content delivery networks
•Ability to develop schedules, identify resource requirements, and develop business cases
