Position Overview: The Time Management Advisor is a subject matter expert and super user of the Time and Attendance Tool. These individuals will help identify errors and coach end users on following correct procedures in the Time Management System. The Time Management Advisor will be responsible for ensuring rules applied within the Time Management System calculate accurate payment to the hourly workforce. The Time Management Advisor will have an understanding of the linkage and dependencies between Time Management Operating Systems and other systems dependent on labour hours for the time entry function, and will perform all Historical Edits in Kronos.
Major Job Functions:
Historical Adjustments (adjustments made to an employee's time card after a locked pay period) in Kronos
Coach and assist end users with issues such as employee set up, shift schedules, time entry exception management and troubleshoot calculation of hours
R eview and validate Time & Attendance records with established deadlines (OEM + Think Big)
Perform and work with the End User to assist with manually updating fields in Person profile to reflect accurate pay rules, employment terms etc.
Create new employee work templates per day and employee work shift patterns from those templates
Update and modify shift schedules specific for OEM employees and Think Big Students as per assigned employee schedule
Specific Skills & Knowledge:
Efficient in the Kronos Time Management System
Understanding of Salesforce, Infor Smart Office and Workday systems in relation to time entry
Proficient in MS Office applications and internal systems.
Knowledge of all collective agreements and associated letters of understanding as they relate to time entry
Knowledge of Payroll and HR processes in relation to time tracking
Strong understanding of operations in relation to time entry
Understands and adheres to Finning policies and procedures, including safety
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous experience reviewing and editing in a timekeeping system
1 year payroll experience would be an asset
Proficient in MS Office package
Understanding of Service Department processes
Understanding and aptitude for systems such as ERP or work management software
