Job Description & Summary

A career in our International Tax Desk practice, within International Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help multinational companies address their cross border tax needs both locally and globally by managing their global tax rates, finding areas of cost reduction, and responding to inquiries from regulatory authorities. You'll gain a global perspective and an awareness of tax issues stemming from changes to evolving business structures and geographic expansions.

Our team advises our clients on tax laws and reporting, legislation and planning strategies based on the geography and jurisdiction. You'll be assisting our team with local tax laws, reporting requirements, statutory filings, corporate strategy, transfer pricing and indirect tax and other international taxation needs.


As a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Directors and above
  • Be involved in the financial management of clients
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Develop project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for our clients
  • Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team
  • Shape and deliver projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria
  • Train, coach, and supervise team members
  • Continue to develop internal relationships and developing your PwC brand

  • We are looking for individuals who are committed to a career in U.S. corporate taxation, who will build on their tax expertise, management, technical skills and business relationships to provide proactive advice and become an essential advisor to our clients' business operations. We have a national practice, which allows our team members to participate in engagements that are best suited to their skills and interests, and provides continuing opportunities for growth. Key focus areas within this practice would be:
  • US corporate and US partnership income tax compliance
  • Consulting on various issues, including domestic and international structuring, financing, acquisitions and dispositions, and reporting matters.
  • US Tax provision advice/review
  • Providing assistance and guidance to team members on tax related issues.

  • Requirements:
  • U.S. CPA or other accounting designation or JD degree;
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business is desirable;
    Completion of Masters of U.S. Taxation is an asset;
  • 5+ years U.S. tax experience;
  • Experience with U.S. domestic and international tax issues, including tax research;
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills;
  • Technologically proficient with Microsoft Office, tax preparation software, and tax research services;
  • Strong written and oral communication abilities;
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
