The Role
Act as the on-site central point of communication to liaise with the Steering Committee, Director, Innovation & Partnerships, and internal working teams and UBC.  The Program Lead will establish goals under the Agreement, work with the project team with appropriate expertise, and supervise and coordinate the performance of their respective obligations for each of the project streams.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Liaison between all parties for proper governance
  • Participate in regular status meetings and submit periodic status reports to track and report
  • Act as the primary liaison for the Research, Product, and Network sub committees
  • Ensure the development and execution of the Recognition and Engagement Plan
  • Create and execute regular cadence with stakeholders
  • Build a pipeline of innovation: Identify, assess, prioritize and recommend innovative use cases to the steering committee
  • Align stakeholders under a defined strategy
  • Coordinate test & learn activities, evaluating PoCs to determine areas of improvement and adoption
  • Collaborate with local ecosystem, to drive thought leadership and partnership in advancing the use cases
Skills Requirements:
  • Understanding of emerging network technologies
  • MSc preferred, MBA an asset
  • Confident and capable strategic thinker; able to back ideas with supporting facts and rationale, and able to relate big picture strategic concepts and research findings to the needs of the business
  • Able to build and sustain trusting relationships with a strong preference to those who already have an established relationship with UBC
  • Self-motivation; comfort with ambiguity
  • Able to manage multiple priorities at a given time
  • Ability to communicate and present effectively to all levels of faculty and professional staff
  • Creative; not afraid to explore white space ideas and new strategic concepts
