As a Ut ilitie s Grid Modernization Senior Manager , you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• A strong management consulting leader with significant experience and knowledge of Power Systems, who would lead advanced Power Systems Application Advisory and transformation engagement, which includes advisory support and implementation of grid management applications such as EMS, SCADA, OMS, EAMS, MMS, ADMS, DERMS and GIS.
• The responsibilities include working with Electric Utilities or ISOs (Independent System Operators) and Transmission and Distribution System Operators on large transformation initiatives and support in an advisory capacity and to lead large implementation efforts.
• Acts as a leader in grid management practice and help with identification and growth of business development opportunities in the market.
• Lead large-scale application deployment initiatives, representing the face of high-quality and reliable implementation practices. Lead implementation of new functionalities in power system application software
• Understand client IT/OT landscape and lead the design metamodels and data transformation with strong understanding of CIM
• Lead the team to support model migration and conversion of data to format needed for advanced Power Systems Application, SCADA and Power Market
• Collaborate with system/project engineers, frontend developers and EMS, ADMS, SCADA, and market application developers to implement solutions that are aligned with product direction
• Provide direction and support to technical/project leads to ensure that project-related system design guidelines are being followed.
• Manage and help provide inputs to technical/project leads on schedules and cost estimates.
• Interfaces with clients and vendors as the engagement manager and single point of contact.
• Manage large on-shore and off-shore technical resources, interns and junior staff.
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Experience in power system analysis using leading grid planning and management applications.
• Requires at least 8 years project delivery experience including large system implementation experience preferably with utilities.
• At least 5 years of consulting or professional services experience.
• In-depth understanding of power systems and/or energy management systems with focus on modelling for Power Applications.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to write professional and technical reports and procedures. Ability to make formal and informal presentation to technical and non-technical staff and clients.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
• Demonstrates a high degree of personal and professional integrity.
• Ability to work effectively with clients and in a team environment.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to more junior team members.
• Be sufficiently versatile to support other digital operations projects if demand and capacity require.
• Work and/or academic experience in the power systems area.
• Knowledge of programming skills in C++, Java or other related language, as required . Knowledge of Perl, PowerShell and SQL (MSSQL and/or T-SQL) scripting languages. Good understanding of database operation.
• Technical knowledge and strong understanding of the power applications such as EMS, SCADA, OMS and some previous experience with deployment of applications.
• Exposure to CIM and other model exchange formats.
• Strong knowledge and experience relating to client perspective and needs.
PwC BC Region Pay Range Information
The salary range* for this position is $144,700.00 - $193,000.00 - $241,200.00 CAD Annual, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual bonus payment. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon your skills, experience, qualification s and geographic location.

Given our national recruiting approach, we recruit (and may hire) in other regions and therefore the salary range may differ depending on the work location .
