Job Description:

TD Asset Management (TDAM), a member of TD Bank Financial Group, is a leading North American investment manager offering progressive investment solutions to both institutional and individual investors. Role Overview

The Lead of Fixed Income Product Management leads the fixed income product management function, overseeing product stewardship, positioning, and commercial monitoring of TDAM's fixed income products.

Focused on a single asset class, this role is responsible for ensuring fixed income products remain competitive, well-positioned, and effectively managed, while coordinating across key stakeholders to support product integrity and alignment.

This role operates within TDAM's global product model and partners closely with:
  • Investment teams and Client Portfolio Management (CPM) to ensure alignment between portfolio characteristics and product positioning
  • Product & Marketing Intelligence to support product initiatives and enhancements
  • Distribution and Marketing to support consistent product positioning

The role leads a team of Product Managers and represents fixed income products to diverse senior internal stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

1. Fixed Income Product Stewardship
  • Oversee ongoing management of the fixed income product shelf across sub-asset classes
  • Support enhancements, repositioning, and rationalization activities
  • Ensure consistency across vehicles, channels, and regions

2. Commercial Performance & Monitoring
  • Oversee monitoring of AUM, flows, pricing, and competitive positioning
  • Identify trends and escalate actions to address risks or opportunities
  • Support product reviews and performance discussions

3. Product Positioning Oversight
  • Maintain alignment of product positioning, use cases, and target clients
  • Ensure consistency between portfolio characteristics and product positioning
  • Support differentiation across client segments and channels

4. Stakeholder Coordination & Leadership
  • Act as senior product contact across Investments, CPM, Distribution, Legal, Risk, and Marketing
  • Ensure alignment between portfolio outcomes and product positioning
  • Coordinate product-related priorities, actions, and escalation

5. Product Development Support
  • Provide commercial input into product enhancements and initiatives
  • Support prioritization and implementation activities in partnership with Product & Marketing Intelligence
  • Ensure alignment with broader product platform

6. Governance & Risk Oversight
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and governance requirements
  • Oversee product documentation alignment in partnership with the Product Offering Disclosure team
  • Participate in governance forums and product review processes

7. Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and develop a team of product managers aligned to fixed income
  • Set priorities, and ensure effective execution across the team
  • Foster a high-performing, detail-oriented team environment

Qualifications & Experience
  • 8-12+ years of experience in asset management across product, investments, or strategy
  • Deep understanding of fixed income markets, including:
  • Core and core plus
  • Credit and high yield
  • Global and emerging markets
  • Strong understanding of investment vehicles and product structures
  • Proven ability to manage complex product sets across multiple channels
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Experience operating in a matrixed organization

Preferred
  • CFA designation
  • Prior team leadership experience

  • Ability to connect portfolio characteristics with product positioning
  • Credibility with Investment teams and CPM leadership
  • Effective at coordinating across senior stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities
