Position Overview: Manning the component storage facility by unloading, storing, and loading large components. Running a forklift and ensuring proper tracking of inbound and outbound components.

Job Description:

Major Job Functions:
  • Driving a forklift for loading and unloading components
  • Checking components for safe transport
  • Matching components to paperwork
  • Filling out paperwork for inbound and outbound
  • Locating components both physically and electronically
  • Transporting and organizing components in the warehouse
  • Working with truck drivers
  • Accountable for ensuring components match the paperwork they are referenced by
  • Identifying unsafe shipping conditions and correcting them
  • Ensuring proper electronic and physical locations for components
  • Maintaining a safe work environment
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment

**Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective Agreement**

Specific Skills & Knowledge:
  • Able to operate small to large counter balanced forklifts (up to 40,000lbs)
  • Ensuring quality paperwork
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Verifying inbound and out bound paperwork
  • Communicating with truck drivers
  • Understanding of TDG
  • Knowledge of TDG
  • Forklift training

Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma

  • Monday - Friday, 6:00AM - 2:30PM
  • Seasonal conditions inside and outside
  • Desk computer and paperwork
  • Working with large heavy components
  • Working with minimal direct supervision

  • A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
