About the OpportunityCurrently, OTC is looking for a full-time Senior Engineer, Tribal Council based in Rama, Ontario.
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will oversee, direct, manage and coordinate all program functions and activities of the Technical Services Department while providing direct professional engineering advisory services to the member First Nations during pre-planning, planning, design, construction, and maintenance of community infrastructure works and facilities.

In your advisory role, you will demonstrate hands-on expertise through active participation in weekly in-community meetings with member’s Chief and Council, community members, and organizations. As an auxiliary representative during discussions with senior officials from industry and government, you will advocate for and advise First Nation community members.

About YouTo qualify, you must be a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario (PEng), or in the process of becoming one, with a minimum of 3 years' experience working with First Nation Government and/or Communities. Preference will be given to candidates with a background or degree in Civil Engineering.
Given the in-community nature of the role, it is vital that you have exceptional interpersonal skills, a natural talent for building relationships within a close-knit community, adaptability for handling unforeseen situations, and a genuine passion for making a meaningful impact.
