What you can expect to do here:
- You will participate in a team environment, working closely as needed with Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Senior Project Directors/Technical Leads and field teams.
- You will review environmental assessments including baseline environmental investigations, preliminary site investigations, detailed site investigations as necessary to understand the status of the site in terms of the Alberta Contaminated Lands Framework.
- You will prepare liability assessments for a variety of clients following the most current AER requirements.
- You will apply quality assurance/quality control measures in the completion of your assessments.
- You will meet with clients and review the documentation.
- You will prepare the required deliverables and be familiar with AER's OneStop for report submission.
We'd love to hear from you if you are/have:
- Three or more years experience in environmental assessment and contaminated sites practice areas. Any field experience is an asset.
- Experience in Site-Specific Liability Assessments (SSLA) and related AER Liability Management Directives
- Experience with writing upstream Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments
- Experience with reviewing and uploading reports to AER OneStop
- Cost estimation experience related to Remediation and Reclamation Projects
- Experience in due diligence acquisition and divestment transactions for oil & gas properties.
- A bachelor's degree or diploma in environmental, earth sciences, engineering, or similar field from a recognized educational institution.
- Experience with historical and current environmental data analysis using MS 365.
- Current membership, or potential to achieve future membership, with a professional organization is preferred (e.g. APEGA, AIA, ASET)
This position offers unique technical challenges and a great opportunity for involvement in a number of substantial projects related to liability assessment and asset retirement obligations.
Compensation:
- AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $69,700 - $92,300
- MB & ON: $63,600 - $87,500
- NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $62,900 - $83,600
